Super cool week this week but I am way short on time. I’ll go quick 🙂
First of all, we had the Wedding and Baptism of Candelario and Adelaida Oritz. Way cool! Their whole family came again so we had 8 people at church again for the third week in a row. We are planning to get the whole rest of the family down in the next month. Really exciting things are happening in the area. The Baptisms went off without a hitch. Elder Wilson was super excited to get his first couple of baptisms. He was baptizing Adelaida and I was baptizing Candelario. He had to do the ordinance three times because he couldn’t quite get her to go down in the font. But, these people are some of the most prepared people by the Lord I have taught on my mission. Candelario is already in Alma in the Book of Mormon. He is tearing through it!
I have been thinking about a couple of things this week. We have seen so many miracles in our area from our hard work but almost none of the miracles we have seen have actually come from the work. So, what I learned is when we are serving God with all our heart, might, mind and strength, he will bless us regardless. He will always find a way to bless his servants that are doing their best to love and serve his sheep.
It was a super good Thanksgiving this week! People loved inviting us over for Thanksgiving to get some food! For Thanksgiving, one of the Elders in my district was super sick and Elder Wilson caught a cold as well so they stuck around in the apartment while the rest of the district went to two dinners together! I felt bad for Elder Wilson and Barnett, but it still seemed like they had a good time together.
I love you all so much and hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and especially hope you all had time to ponder some of the blessings we have in our lives 🙂
Love you all!
